Feathers QAL – Paper Piecing Tutorial

Karen has posted her tutorial on her blog Selvages and Snapshots.  Karen brings up that everyone has their own way of paper piecing so don’t hesitate to paper piece how you normally do, or if you are new at paper piecing, if something feels better for you go ahead and do it (as long as the result is the same).  I don’t trim my paper until the end.  I slice in the center, then piece exactly like Karen did… and then trim it all at the end. Like the visual below.

I am going to do an unplanned post sometime during the holidays… just to share some tips on how I keep everything organized.

Happy Holidays!

  1. This is my 1st QAL & 1st time paper piecing. Excited to learn! Not sure if I missed it, but I purchased the PDF pattern & want to confirm that it does get printed on regular sized paper and not on larger paper.
